Vision and Mission

The Association of Quality Assurance Agencies of the Islamic World (IQA) was formally established on May 4, 2011 in an effort to embrace a common language of quality in higher education and forge closer ties between the countries of the Islamic World.

IQA was established to promote and enhance quality of higher education in the countries of the Islamic World. In achieving this purpose, IQA aims at implementing the following goals:
  1. to enhance the capacity of quality assurance agencies in the countries of the Islamic World,
  2. to facilitate collaboration and exchanges of best practices, experiences and expertise among quality assurance agencies of the Islamic World; and
  3. to encourage cooperation with regional and international quality assurance organizations.
To fulfill the above purpose, the IQA Strategic Plan 2013 – 2015 has been prepared with a focus on four priorities, namely, structural, advocacy, developmental and networking.
